We were asked by the local Bishop of the church to attend the dedication for the Fort Lauderdale Temple. We were thrilled to be asked and wondered if we could make it there. Kids 8+ are allowed to go but our kids were 4, 2 and 3 months!! Our amazing next door neighbors, the Calamela's, agreed to watch all three of of our children for 8 hours so that we could make the trip over, enjoy the dedication and then drive back!!
We were so grateful for their service to our family!
Jordan and I headed out around 9:00am and got there with time to spare so we took some photos.. no filter, no DSLR... just a point and click!

Interestingly enough, this was both of our second Temple dedication together. That's right! We both attended the Columbus dedication when we were younger.
We attended the dedication session and listened to President Dieter F. Uchtdorf speak about the Temple and dedicate it through prayer. He peaked into the room we were sitting in before and after the session as he walked out. We were in the last couple of rows so we were just feet from him. It was so cool!
Before we headed back to Cape Coral, we stopped at a local park to enjoy a picnic
It was picturesque and lovely. And we got to see this beautiful tree.
We enjoyed the park, packed up and headed back to our three little lovelies. We had a fantastic, spiritual experience. It was wonderful to spend some alone time with Jordan.
