I haven't had a Lily post in awhile and I am believe I am past due...!
What does Lily enjoy now-a-days?
*Drinking her bath water. Yes, it's true. We have a plastic cup in the tub that Jordan uses to pour over her and she will grab it, fill it up with water and drink it. Or if we take that away, she will drink from the spout. Or if the water is running, she will just put her face in the water and drink it. Ha!
*Shaking and nodding her head. She has just learned what shaking her head means - no! The other morning she crawled over to our space heater (it wasn't hot) and started tapping on it, then she would peak over at me. I would say 'No, no Lily'. She then would do it again and then she would start shaking her head no! Jordan asked her the other night if she wanted to take a bath (that means bed time follows) and she shook her head no again!
*Playing with her dolls & stuffed animals. She is such a little Mama! She will hold her dolls so delicately and close to her body. She will hug them, rock them, kiss them and feed them with her play spoons. Lily loves them!
*Snuggling with kisses, hugs, pats and squeezes. This is probably my favorite new development in Lily Land. Lily has always given kisses and hugs. It's the sweetest thing! But recently, she's learned a few new ways to show us her love. She will hug us and then pat our backs with her cutie little hand. She also nows squeezes us! And she'll make a little grunting noise as she does so. We are absolutely loving it. She is super lovey after her last bottle of milk right before bed. The last two nights Jordan has put her down so he can get all that love for himself.
*Pushing anything. She especially loves her push toy that she will push all over! We take her outside, stand her up next to the toy and she will walk at least a 1/4 of a mile. She cries when we take her off of it! We have to keep them on the covered porch because if she sees them inside, she will cry to play with them all day!
*Playing with her friends. Lily loves people. Mostly, babies and children but there are a few adults she gets really gushy about. She loves playing with them, touching them, talking to (or more like at) them and hugging or kissing them. Just last night, we had Colleen and Savvy over for dinner. When it was time for Savvy to go, I told Lily to give her kisses. She leaned over and opend her little mouth and gave her one!!
*Riding on or in anything. You name it, she'll love to ride in or on it. The laundry basket it a favorite. But the best toy is The Corn Popper. Oh yes, we all remember a version of this toy from our childhood. The kind when moved, the little balls make a loud (usually obnoxious) pop!
Seen here with her friend Gabriel - he is 6 weeks younger than her but he's pushing her all around the living room!
Lily also loves to snuggle with Lambie. Plus she enjoys a few PBS kids shows and Baby Einstein DVDs. Oh, and always chewing on the remotes :)
Lily loves to play in her play corner that is full of her little chair, toy box, blocks, play dishes and other fun things. Unfortunately, she must have fallen over and I just couldn't help but take a picture of this sad, cutie face!
Riding on the corn popper! She is most likely fussing in this shot because she is stationary without anyone pushing her...!
Hanging out on the couch, she can now get off the couch, bed, chairs with ease.
Lily loves going outside and gets super jazzed when I put her coat on because she knows that means we are going outside. Here she is being pulled by me on her corn popper. Yes, that is a rope I am pulling her with. Our backs can only handle so much!!
Snuggling with Mama on a Sunday morning, most likely watching Baby Einstein while Daddy makes an awesome breakfast.
Lily is loving wearing 'bracelets' on her arms. She will put a ring on her arm and just chat while she waves her arms around in the air.
Most recent shot of my baby! Her hair is getting longer, her communication skills are awesome, her social skills are expanding and she is growing up so fast!!
