Each year on Memorial Day the men's group from our church puts on a panacake brekfast at Highbanks Metro Park. This year, Jordan volunteered to be the organizer of the event, which means I was instantly volunteered to organize the event.
Jordan had to get up aroud 5:00am to make it to the park before it opened since the covered pavillion we use it non-reservable. We got our usual spot without any problem!
Jordan had so many willing volunteers to help make the breakfast a success, it's a lot of work to make enough scrambled eggs, plate sized pancakes and sausage for over 100 people.
Lily, Rob and I arrived around 8:00am and Lily was too hungry to wait for everyone else. Here is the cutie pie monching on some pancakes and fruit.
Here are the men who helped cook up all the food - 15 dozen eggs, over 200 pancakes, 10 pounds of sausage.
Angela and Cyrus came to play with us at the breakfast! It was so much to have them with us, especially for me. I think those four swung on the swings for at least an hour. Cy put Rob in a backpack carrier and swung with him, Rob loved it! He would smile each time Cy swung forward.
We had freshly cut strawberries, blackberries, bananas, whipped cream, pancakes, sausage and eggs with syrup.
My little red, white and blue baby boy!
