16.. Going On 17

Lily is 16 months, going on 17. But sometimes, I swear, she has the social and verbal capability of a three year old. She's a smartie.

Lily seems to be learning new things each day. Recently, she's learning where her nose, eyes, mouth and ears are located. She can also show Jordan and I where our nose, eyes, mouth and ears are :)

We both really enjoy going to the local library's 2 and under story time. They sing the song 'Skimmery Rinky Dink' with all the hand motions at the beginning and the end of the story time. She loves this song and get so excited whenever she hears the song or if we start singing it.

Lily cannot get enough of music/songs/singing and dancing. We are almost constantly listening to children's songs, kiddie CDs or singing ourselves. In between the pauses of an old song ending and a new song about to begin, Lily looks to me and does a little fuss and signs 'more, please'. Once the next song plays (in like 5 seconds) she gets all giddy and starts dancing.

Lily is a very loving, sweet child. She is always greeting us with a smile, a cheer and a hug, topped off with a kiss. When Jordan comes home from work, she usually throws her hands up and shouts 'Da da!' and does a little dance until he picks her up. It's the best type of greeting, ever. She also knows what the word 'snuggle' means, I love it.

Auntie Dawn (and cousin McKenna) gave Lily a beauty salon. She loves it. She will dance in front of the mirror, paint her nails, brush her hair, and sit gazing at herself

Last fall, I purchased this baby center with a high chair, cradle and baby swing. Lily likes to play Mommy with her babies

I went to the bathroom and came back to her propped up on the lap top. She can now open it all by herself
