Fish Tank

He's back in the game.

That is, Jordan is back into the fish tank business. For his Christmas present, he got a nano fish tank on clearance at a local pet store.

This was the first set up with fresh water, plants and a couple of shrimps. As the weeks went on, we got a few more different types of shrimp, a couple of fish, a couple of snails and more plants. One of the fish we got, was pregnant and had her baby fish in our own tank! It was a really fascinating experience. Two of the original fish were orange and yellow - Lily named them Flippy and Floppy. Unfortunately, both 'went back to  the fish store' which is to say, they died. But I wasn't ready yet to explain death to Lily.

And here is little Robert, loving the fish tank. He will try everything he possibly can to get his little fingers into the fish tank. Since these pictures, Jordan has created a wooden lid with a better light in it. It helps the plants grow better and keeps little ones out.

Funny story, this tank came with a CO2 cartridge and apparatus to aid in plant growth. The part that came with the fish tank was defective, so Jordan took it back to the pet store. They said they would order a new piece to replace the broken one. He kept checking in with the store and the piece never came in. Eventually the store manager just gave him a full refund for the price of the tank!
