This year for the 4th of July, we were home in Columbus, so we had a big party and BBQ. Unfortunately, it was hot hot hot. But it was a sunny, clear and beautiful day out aside from the high 90's degree weather plus humidity.
Fans were apart of the set up, we had pregnant ladies and little ones to think about
Auntie Bree had just moved into Powell earlier that day and came over to party with us. But before she did, her and Lily had to snuggle and watch some Blues Clues.
We enjoyed visiting witht the Roessner's, Eve's, Johnson's and the Philpott's
So everyone was pretty much super hot. We kept a spray bottle on hand and I would walk around and sprary everyone... literally, everyone. We would also take turns taking the little babes inside to the air conditioning to make sure they stayed safe.

Everyone preparing to go on the parade. This year we had a wagon/stroller decorating contest
Everyone had a flag (thanks to Marc's and their .10 cents per flag sale) and we waved them up and down our street while Briana held our boom box as it played Stars and Stripes Forever, the same score we play each year
And of course, we had to have a pinata.. it's great that the kids are getting older and they can actually have fun. Although it must be confusing when we (as parents) are cheerfully shouting "Hit Elmo!!"

Daddy bought Lily a special 4th of July treat - a lollipop as big as her head! She licked and licked and got the sucker all over her nose, forehead and hands.
Aww... our little American Girl
