December

December was a busy, fun-filled month for our family.

A brief recap:
*Began a no-sweets diet from the Monday after Thanksgiving to my birthday. It takes a lot of self control but after nearly a year of no 'real' sweets discipline (pregnancy + 2 months post partum) I needed to reign things in a bit.
*Christmas party with our church congregation
*Holiday mini house painting with the Eve's. They have a little train village with small plaster houses that we've painted off and on the last 5 years.
*Birthday celebration for me on Dec. 12th - I turned twenty-six! I consider this the last year of my mid-twenties ;)
*Rob turned 3 months old on the 18th - he is still... challenging. But such a sweet boy, he just has a rough newborn life with difficulty eating and sleeping. We're making progress, albeit very slow progress. We're feeding him about once a night although he wakes up a total of 3 -4 times still. Can you say zombie-mom?
*Jordan's birthday celebration on Dec. 20th - he turned twenty-nine, which is his final year of his twenties :)
*Attended a cookie swap party in which all the cookies were so. crazy. good.
*Christmas play date with a few of Lily's friends
*Baked and delivered cookies to a few of our neighbors
*Christmas with the Eve's - this year our food theme was American Fanfare: deluxe cheeseburgers, parmesan seasoned steak fries, homemade mac n cheese, fancy baked beans and milkshakes to top it all off. SO DELICIOUS.
*Celebrated Christmas with my family - the Kinkead's
*Visited Zanesville twice in this month - once to visit my grandparents and my mom and then just yesterday to bring some Christmas cheer to my grandparents.
*Got mastitis (hooooray - not). Got antibiotics. Getting better.
*Celebrated our first 'real' Christmas morning with Lily. Christmas music going, candles lit, the camera on the tripod capturing all the moments and Lily squealing with delight at each present. Priceless. It was our best Christmas yet :)

Still to come:
*Daddy's vacation time off from work
*New Year's celebration

This will most likely be the last post of 2011. I cannot believe how fast this year flew by. Adding Rob into the mix has made time go by twice as fast! Yikes..will a third child make it go by 3x as fast? Scary!

What will 2012 bring to our family? A return to OSU for Jordan? A return to my pre-baby body (ha)? Our babies turning 1 year and 3 years?!?!? Wow. Lily will turn 3 and Jordan will turn 30. How cute. I hope to bring the blogging back in 2012. The last three months have been total weak sauce!
